SUMMARY:Virtual Info Session on the Second-Generation Cut-Off
DESCRIPTION:Join NAN for a Virtual Info Session on the Second-Generation Cut-Off! \n\n\n\n📅 Session 1: September 26\, 2024\, at 2:30 PM EST🔗 Join virtually: Meeting Link \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is the Second-Generation Cut-Off? \n\n\n\nDid you know that the Second-Generation Cut-Off under the Indian Act affects the registration (Status) of children after two generations of non-entitlement? If both a grandparent and a parent do not qualify for Status\, their child (the third generation) will also not be eligible. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy Should You Care? \n\n\n\nThis rule has a significant impact on families and future generations. Understanding how entitlement works is key to ensuring you and your family know your rights. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet Informed \n\n\n\nNAN is hosting two virtual information sessions in September to help you understand the Second-Generation Cut-Off and what it means for you. We’ll provide easy-to-understand visuals to explain the process and answer any questions you may have. \n\n\n\nDon’t miss out – stay informed and protect your rights!
